”What a GEM”
My wife and I just spent two nights at The Stage Coach Lodge. The staff was exceptional, the room immaculate. Centrally located, this is now our go-to for future trips to Monterey. We have spent TRIPLE the rate and had no better experience than this last trip!

”Delightful charming inn in Monterey at a great price!”
My husband and I have been on the road for a month by the time we got to Stage Coach Lodge and it gave us the heavenly retreat we needed! The stay could make or break us considering we were physically worn out, and I was initially nervous due to the mix reviews but boy am I glad I went with my instincts to stay here! Extremely value for money - I'd say it's easily one of the best value options in Monterey by far. The entire complex was charming with an inviting cheery lobby. The room itself was extremely well-kept, clean, tasteful and just excellent by what you would expect for a top-notch inn. The refurbishment exceeded our expectations. Despite our sensitive weary bodies, the massive bed provided wonderful rest for us - comfy mattress, no issues with the pillows or blankets. The bathroom was as clean as I can remember, although the loud toilet flushing could be bothersome to some if used in the night. The kitchenette was chic and well-equipped, a nice touch, you really can't complain! We slept so well that we decided to sleep in and missed breakfast - but the inn was so well-located that it's just a short 5-10 minute drive to the key Monterey sights i.e. Cannery Row and Fisherman's Wharf where great dining establishments are plenty! Wifi was spotty during the peak periods understandably as the inn was sold out - so we avoided using wifi those times and only logged in after 10pm which turned out perfect for us! Parking was easy and in the same area as the pool if you'd like a dip! I'll say anyone who gives less than 4 or 5 stars likely had mismanaged expectations and in all relative terms, staying at Stage Coach Lodge is the perfect escapade for anyone spending a night or two in Monterey or passing through to SF from SoCal!

”Pleasantly surprised”
We only spent one night in Monterey at Stage Coach Inn while on our Honeymoon trip along the Californian coast and we had a lovely experience! Room was really clean and tidy, it had everything we needed and a really comfy bed!

”Pleasantly surprised and great bargain.”
Arrived in Monterey for a couple of days visit. The room was excellent and included all the amenities we needed for the short visit. The staff was very friendly and the location was close to all the tourist spots in Monterey and Carmel. We would definitely recommend this wonderful hotel for it's value as well as it's very well maintained rooms and buildings. Will definitely come back if near Monterey in the future.

”Quiet place near the park that really needs an elevator for 2nd floor guests”
My wife and I just stayed here Monday the 17th in the King junior suite (rm 202). The room was very spacious and nicely designed. The check-in gentleman was friendly and helpful as well. The bed in our room was very comfortable. The flat mount TV image quality (not reception)on certain channels left a lot to be desired. The bed is also only made with one flat sheet and a comforter. Overall I would give it an overall rating of 4 stars. The location can be a little tricky to find (10th street is on left before busy intersection).

We found this place on a whim. I enjoyed the simplicity. No frill. Very clean, smelled good inside. Comfy bed, and nice granite in bathroom.

”Excellent budget hotel in Monterey”
We enjoyed our two night stay at Stagecoach Lodge. Both the room and bathroom were very clean and the hotel staff was friendly. The WiFi works very well too. It's a 20 minute stroll to the wharf and another 10-15 minutes to Cannery Row. Unfortunately, breakfast is served fairly late and the selection is limited. For the price, this is a great place to stay in Monterey. We would definitely stay here again.

”Good Location & Friendly Staff”
It is one of our best Convenient & Happy stay. Room was private, secure, surrounded by FANTASTIC flowering, so that was very romantic. Room was gorgeous and super clean, modern with ALL of the nice little touches. We had coffee, our own fridge, hair dryer, big screen TV and Soap smelled wonderful. Nice sized bath room and good sized tub. Room has pleasant view of neighborhood. A/c worked well (something I need a lot). Bed firm and felt great, slept very well. Sheets were top quality and felt good. Great visit, ran a bit late on check out time and asked for 1/2 hour over and they granted it without problem. We will come back to this one for sure.
