”Nice small motel”
We were visiting Monterey Aquarium with our children and grandchildren. 10 of us altogether. We all stayed at Stage Coach Lodge and had an enjoyable visit. The kids liked swimming in the small pool and being able to get some breakfast in the lobby before we went out. There are only 26 rooms in this motel, each somewhat different from the others & it is very quiet and located close to everything.

”Lazy simple trip to do nothing with hubby and daughter”
I would come back. Decent spacious parking. Room and beds were clean. Toilet flushed well. Tv had good channels. The bathroom fan works. Faucet/shower were easy to use. Hot and cold water worked. I really like their organic toiletries. Continental breakfast was perfect for us. It was a comfortable stay. No complaints about the actual room. But some things to consider... There do not appear to be any staff or security after 10 pm. On our first night on 9/3, there was a bit of drama where one of the female tenants was talking very loudly on her phone, fighting with her partner from 11 pm to 1 am. I wish there was a staff member to handle that. I regret not doing anything about it.

Warm, Cozy place in peaceful setting in center of Monterey, CA. An excellent accommodation, clean room, reasonable breakfast, in proximity to area attractions such as aquarium, walking paths. I would give a five star to Stage Coach which is reasonably priced and a nice place to stay with family & friends.

”Owner's Pride Shows”
The Lodge is super clean, nicely appointed and very quiet. The location is good for access to all of Monterey's sights. A basic continental breakfast is offered. The rooms have free wi-fi and even USB charging ports. The staff made check in/out very quick and easy. This is a real gem.

”Nice and comfortable place to stay”
We spent one night in this hotel while some of the rooms were receiving new furnitures to give a more modern look. The room was comfortable with nice king size bed, large TV screen. The bathroom was also spotless. The hotel has a pool, although very small. As for the negative aspects, it is a little far away from downtown Monterey (25mn walking distance from the pier) and the breakfast (included in the price) was very light with very little choice. The staff is very welcoming and they really seem to care about customer service, which is a very good point.

”Quiet Stay in Monterey”
Nice little spot! Motel exterior, but nice, clean, spacious hotel interior. Great for the price, friendly staff, walking distance to downtown, fisherman's wharf, and conveniently near the highway for getting in and out of the city.

Exactly what we wanted, and everything as we expected. Easy to find off the highway and we were able to check in immediately even though we were around an hour early. Very welcoming hosts.

”You Won't Regret Staying Here”
We appreciated that the room was attractive, roomy, very clean, and that the king bed was very comfortable. Kudos for the in-room microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. Major applause for the laundry room, which was conveniently located beside the ice machine. The breakfast was adequate enough. The owners (especially the Mrs.) were kind, adhering to an efficient operation.

”Great Budget Motel”
I was in Monterey for a conference at the Hyatt. I chose this motel after researching online for reviews etc. It was a half mile walk to the Hyatt and I didn't have to pay for parking (originally the intent was to drive to Monterey)for the conference. It was a very clean, quiet and welcoming motel. I didn't spend much time in the room as I was at the Hyatt everyday. I can say we had everything we needed in the room. The breakfast room seem to have plenty of choices even though I didn't use it, except to grab a piece of fruit. The maids did an exceptional job on keeping the room clean. I didn't have to ask for any extra towels! The refrigerator worked great, microwave worked great, coffee maker was adequate. The only negatives: Can hear the people upstairs walking. If that bothers you, ask for a 2nd floor room. The sink was very slow to drain in the bathroom (room 103). My pillows were not very comfortable but that might just be me. Small things. It comes with the toiletries, iron, ironing board and blow dryer (although it is one of the small ones). I would not hesitate to stay there again, especially when the cost of the room is a factor. Front desk is very accommodating. All in all it is one of the nicer motels. If you don't want to pay the "hotel" prices this would be the one to go to.

”Modern rooms and comfortable.”
Very nice room. Very clean and newly furnished. Only issue is that we arrived after 9:30 PM and I have to stand outside to check in and it was quite windy and cool.
